❝Successful women entrepreneurs go beyond mediocrity. They envision a future for themselves and the people around them, and they go for it.❞

ntrepreneurs create and breathe life into products and services, which bring about new markets and job opportunities. They take risks in pursuit of the one thing they are passionate about and love to do best.’

Jeanett believes the characteristic that sets a successful entrepreneur apart is a strong sense of purpose.

‘Transforming an idea into an economic opportunity lies at the heart of entrepreneurship. In South Africa, we need to foster a culture that encourages entrepreneurial pursuits because they make a difference not only to the individual but also to the people that that business employs and serves.’

Jeanett says most entrepreneurs are bound to face challenges along the way, but the right attitude and approach is what will set them apart. ‘Successful women entrepreneurs dream of building successful businesses and go beyond mediocrity. These women envision a future for themselves and the people around them, and they go for it.’

Jeanett is inspired by the global leaders and entrepreneurs who pursued opportunities outside of their comfort zones and created business empires against all odds. ‘Women like Oprah Winfrey have overcome circumstances similar to those of many other women. She stepped into the unknown, went the extra mile and now inspires millions of women globally.

‘To stay on course and adapt swiftly to evolving business environments, successful women entrepreneurs must accept that they don’t have all the answers; they must be prepared to keep learning and collaborate with others.’
