Your top tips for planning a wedding?

Have a clear vision! If you know exactly what type of wedding you want, everything else will fall into place. Deciding on the style and size of our wedding before we started planning was the best strategy. Define your style and use that as your compass when making decisions. And get help from the experts! Choose a designer whose work you love and allow them the freedom to work with your ideas and your figure. Choose a trusted caterer; this will take a great deal of pressure off your shoulders. Lastly, be reasonable with your planning time. I found four months was more than enough, and I was able to retain my sanity!

Any advice about the day of the wedding?

Eat! Make sure you have a big breakfast. Make time to go for a walk to clear your mind. My husband and I took five minutes to meet on the beach before the festivities, in my robe, of course, to take it all in. This ended up being one of the most special moments of the day.

Is there anything you would do differently?

Not really; it was such a special day. I would, however, recommend that you have someone impartial who can act as a sounding board during the planning stages.
