This month, Penguin Random House launches a new series of short books to celebrate the extensive Vintage backlist and to delight readers with compelling titles on big subjects. The 20 launch titles in the Vintage Minis series bring classic reading from the world’s greatest writers, past and present, on the experiences that make us human. These entertaining little books explore the whole spectrum of life – from birth to death and everything in-between. The launch titles include Desire by Haruki Murakami, Love by Jeanette Winterson, Fatherhood by Karl Ove Knausgaard, Home by Salman Rushdie, Eating by Nigella Lawson, Race by Toni Morrison and Death by Julian Barnes.

Vintage Minis are made up of previously published material. Taking selections from fiction, non-fiction and essays, each book is a complete reading experience of about 100 pages. They cost just R80 per copy.
