What I'm loving this month...

-

1 PINK MUSHROOMS

is an initiative of the SA Mushroom Farmers’ Association and Pick n Pay. From 25 Sept to 30 Oct, R1 from every pink punnet will be donated to the Ditto prostheses project, which offers prosthetic breasts at minimal cost to women who have had mastectomies. You’ll be helping yourself, too: research indicates that one white button mushroom a day seems to substantially reduce our risk of breast cancer. Button up!

2 DOVE’S DERMASPA UPLIFTED + BODY LOTION

This is such a great product: affordable, effective, beautiful texture. It’s easily absorbed, which I love (hate the sticky feeling of cream on my skin) and has a great, uncomplicated scent. I’m a fan!

3 CHERYL ARTHUR’S NEW RANGE

I love the fabrics, and the styling is beautiful. Have a look at the range on spree.com, or CherylArthurFashion on Facebook.

4 GARDEN DAY ON 15 OCTOBER

You know what I love most about Garden Day? That to do it right is to do nothing at all. You simply get into your – or any – garden, and appreciate it. So Sunday, 15 October is all about inviting friends around for a braai or a picnic or just hanging out on your own watching the sunlight filtering through the leaves. And then… breathing. There’s also a beautiful (free) Gardening with Babylonstoren app that offers really helpful gardening suggestions throughout the year – download it at www.gardenday.co.za. Another idea we loved? Starting a plant club instead of (or as part of) a book club … Wouldn’t that be great?
