HOMEMADE APPLE PEANUT BUTTER DOG TREATS

These are amazingly easy. Just mix, roll, cut & bake.

Makes: 12 large treats Prep Time: 15 minutes Baking time: 20 minutes or until golden brown YOU’LL NEED: • 4 cups oat flour, more as needed • ½ cup natural peanut butter • 2/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce • 2 whole eggs INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC. 2. Combine the oat flour, peanut butter, apple sauce and eggs in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly. 3. If the dough is sticky, add a little oat flour until you can handle the dough without it sticking to your hands. 4. Roll the dough out to about 0,5cm thickness. Using a cookie cutter, cut out your shapes. 5. Transfer onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. 6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cookies are dry and starting to brown at the edges. 7. Cool completely on a wire rack and store in an airtight container or bag in the refrigerator.

NB. Make sure your peanut butter does not contain a sweetener called xylitol, it is poison to dogs!
