INTELLIDEX INTRODUCED THE Most Improved Broker award last year to recognise significant developments that stockbrokers have made to improve their client offerings. Scores are determined by a combination of client feedback and responses to the questionnaire sent to the firms.

Unum Capital wins the award – for the second consecutive year – on the back of strong client ratings and significant additions it has made.

These include a wealth management advisory team, a cryptocurrency trading platform, the launch of several alternative investment portfolios and a beefed-up foreign exchange offering. Many of the changes were implemented as a result of client demand. Clients gave Unum consistently high ratings.

Second-placed Sharenet instituted an extensive website and brand overhaul. New services include advicebased accounts, managed share portfolios, managed ETF solutions, an RMB bespoke note product and international securities.

Among numerous products introduced by third-placed EasyEquities is Investsure, an interesting concept in that it provides a safety net by insuring certain shares in a client portfolio against a sudden drop in price. The firm has also launched EasyFX, enabling investors to fund their dollar accounts to invest in the US market.
