Not keeping my share in a restaurant in Lubumbashi, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

What was your first job?

My first job was as a tree feller and my first salaried job was trading bread flour in Africa for Premier Milling.

What’s the one book everyone should read before they die? by Robert Kiyosaki. What’s your biggest indulgence? Going on cooking courses in Italy.

Which phrase or word do you most overuse? “Let me see what I can do for you.”

How do you handle stress? What are your top tips for dealing with stress?

I am still learning this, but I am trying not to stress about the things that I cannot change.

Who is your favourite hero of fiction? James Bond.

What’s the worst airport you’ve been in? Lubumbashi airport in the DRC.

What’s your one top tip for doing a deal? Never do a deal for the sake of doing a deal, and know when it is time to walk away from a deal.

What is your most treasured possession? A watch given to me by a mentor. What is the one investment you wish you had made, or made earlier?

Buying into a restaurant chain in London.

Is there such a thing as “enough money” and, if so, how much is it?

I think enough money is being able to do the things you want to do and having fun.
