CAT reaches out to cats on Madiba Day
CAT Garden Route founder Rita Brock and two CAT volunteers, Taryn and Maxine Groenewald, took to the streets on Mandela Day to donate cat food to residents of Rosemoor who have already had their cats sterilised.
“Hills Science Plan cat food was donated to CAT and we decanted this to hand out in plastic zipper bags which were kindly donated by Noel of Proficient Packaging in Ottery, Cape Town,” said Brock. She is expert at administering deworming tablets and all the cats were treated with Milbactor by Ceva, which was donated by Worldwide Veterinary Services.

collect 14 more cats which were sterilised on Thursday 20 July by the PDSA and Heatherlands Animal Hospital. Doctors Alan Louw and Didi Roos assist CAT by charging them welfare rates.
“We are really excited that we are making a tangible difference, saving the world one cat at a time,” says Brock. People who would like to volunteer a few hours in a day may contact Brock on 082 806 3144 or Taryn on 082 374 7051.
CAT needs financial donations to cover the costs of sterilising the cats. Payments can be made to CAT Trust, FNB account no 626 156 70 800, bank code 210 114. The Charitable Trust number is IT000919/2016 (c). Tax certificates are available on request.
