Von Mollendorf treasure history revealed
The story of legendary treasure lost at Ballot's Bay has been passed down by generations of the family as a firm belief, one which has cost a number of treasure hunters a small fortune.
Lynne Thompson will give a PowerPoint presentation on this enigmatic, over 200-year-old legend with new information which may settle the question of whether it is fact or myth.
Visitors are welcome to join the Outeniqua Historical Society evening on Thursday 24 May at Emmaüs, Memorium Street, to start at 18:00. Attendees are asked to bring a plate of eats to be enjoyed after the talk.
