TUCKER GOLF was opened a year ago. It is a golf shop with a difference, incorporating SOCIAL SCENE 19th HOLE accessories. For the non-golfer, the 19th hole includes prize-givings, functions or simply going out for a meal with friends. The idea of SOCIAL SCENE was birthed after realising that playing the game of golf and being social afterwards go hand in hand. The accessories essentially began with a range of costume jewellery uniquely designed and sourced in London.
Di Tucker, who manages this side of the business, has successfully traded through the first year and her decision to diversify and include bespoke gift items and clothing into the range is proving to pay off. "The shop can be enjoyed by everyone and is already bursting at the seams," she says. "Golf fashion has evolved through the years into clothing and accessories that can be worn successfully by golfers and non- golfers alike. In the end, everyone is a winner - and a lot of shopping can be accomplished in one store!" The shop is conveniently situated in Office Block A at the Engen garage opposite the Virgin Active gym and offers parking right outside the store.
Di's husband Vaughn takes care of the golfing side. He is the longest serving SA PGA Professional in the area. His expertise, knowledge, dedication, and love of the game of golf have provided him with the tools to give the best advice to new and established golfers of all ages.
