Celebrating our 20-year identity
Law firm Logan-Martin Incorporated celebrates the 20th year of the merger between Logan Wasserman Inc (the successor of Strydoms Attorneys which was founded in Knysna in the 1930s ) and Meyer, Martin and Barnard (the successor of EA Meyer and Martin which was also founded in Knysna in the same decade).
Our firm has three directors: Gerald Logan, who was admitted as an attorney in 1984 and specialises in commercial and property law; Delon Barnard, who was admitted as an attorney in 1994 and specialises in civil litigation matters; and Jacques De Villiers, who was admitted as an attorney in 2000 and who heads up the firm's conveyancing department.
Our associate Bryony Matthee was admitted as an attorney in 2015 and joined the firm in 2016.
She was admitted as a conveyancer in 2018. In addition to her conveyancing practice she specialises in labour law matters and the administration of estates.
The fifth member of our legal team is our associate Hilary Valla. She was admitted as an attorney in 2017 and specialises in civil litigation matters.
Annette Smit, our office manager, has been associated with us for 30 years and
Helmi Stephenson, who administers our collections department, has provided our predecessors and us with 40 years of loyal service.
The firm is privileged to have the loyal and efficient services of staff members Elouise Litz, Flavia Bond, Stephanie Ackerman, Tracey Lee Anderson, Angela von Bulow, Rizella Williams and Varity Oelf.
Our offices are located at 20 Woodmill Lane Centre, from where we have operated our practice for the past 20 years. We are equipped with the latest technology and software in order to operate within the legal field, and in keeping with our motto “Building Relationships” we have established a substantial and loyal client base which continues to grow.
Now that we are in
Level 3 of the lockdown we are fully operational, albeit that our offices are currently only open from 08:00 to 12:00 for visits by clients.
Hopefully it will not be long before we are in a position to resume normal office hours, but in the meantime we wish our clients, and indeed everyone else, a safe passage through these difficult times.
