POWDER EXFOLIATORS

Glamour (South Africa) - - Beauty Flash Skin -

Powder exfoliators – made of finely ground ingredients like rice, oats or bamboo – are gentler on skin than scrubs, and they also help keep the skin barrier strong and protect it from irritation, dryness and allergies. “But they’ve really come to the forefront because of the less-is-more trend happening in skincare,” says Dr Zeichner. Look to them to replace microbead cleansers (the plastic beads are turning up in waterways, and the US signed a bill to ban them).

MAKE THEM WORK BETTER

Sprinkle half a teaspoon of powder exfoliator into your palm with a few drops of cleansing oil instead of water to increase the scrub intensity. Massage over your face, add water to lather, and rinse. 1
