HELLO, MY NAME IS DORIS

Doris Miller (Sally Field) is in her 60s, but she still lives in her mom’s house and holds a job almost as dreary as her outfits. When she meets sexy new employee John Fremont (Max Greenfield), a man half her age, she enlists the help of her best friend’s teenage granddaughter to make him fall for her. This Indie-style romcom is sure to lift your spirits.

THE NICE GUYS

If you like the super ’70s, you’ll love this crimecaper comedy directed by Shane Black ( Iron Man 3). When Judith Kutner’s (Kim Basinger) daughter Amelia (Margaret Qualley) goes missing, she hires detective duo Jackson Healey (Russell Crowe) and Holland March (Ryan Gosling) to find her. But when they uncover a conspiracy, it becomes clear that this is more than a missing-person case.

INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE

It’s been 20 years since the 1996 smash hit, but the aliens are back – and this time, they’ve brought reinforcements. While Will Smith doesn’t star, there’s great eye candy in Liam Hemsworth and Jessie Usher, plus amazing CGI and action-packed scenes.

Key & Peele fans will recognise Keegan-michael Key and Jordan Peele in this offbeat comedy. The pair pose as members of a fictitious gang in order to rescue a kitten named Keanu from a bunch of drug dealers. Hilarious and insightful.

The legend of Tarzan

This retelling of the Edgar Rice Burroughs tale is a creative take on the love story between Jane Porter (Margot Robbie) and Tarzan (Alexander Skarsgård). The sexy, vine-swinging hero leaves London for Africa to investigate activities at a corrupt mine and to rescue his love. With Samuel L Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Djimon Hounsou and John Hurt, it’s a star-studded and compelling must-see.
