You may have recognised Azania Mosaka, 39, when she was awarded an SA Style Award last year for Most Stylish Media Personality, and we’re not surprised – the Soweto-born media star has been in the business since she was 19, co-hosting the youth talk show The Joint.

After graduating with a Bcom degree from Wits University in 2000, the travel bug bit and Azania moved to London for three years. On her return to SA, she started presenting on music shows Bassiq and Backstage Live, which ignited her passion for music and inspired Azania to transition from TV to radio.

She excelled as a producer for Metro FM’S show The Ride with Glen Lewis, which led to Azania getting much-needed experience presenting her own show, Midnight Oasis, on the graveyard shift. The hard work paid off and she quickly moved to prime-time slots on Metro FM’S Route 326, The Sound of Breakfast and Total Bliss, and then Power Lunch on Power FM.

As well as being an avid music lover, Azania is also a whizz in the kitchen and had her own show, Cooking with Azania, on SABC 3 in 2012.

Listen out for her on Radio 702 from 1-3pm.
