New trouser styles, like kick-flares and culottes are great alternatives to the classics. When it comes to blouses, it’s all about architectural pieces – the bigger the sleeve, the better!

What should we consider when buying workwear?

The major factors to keep in mind are fit, colour and versatility. I’m a big fan of investment pieces that can be worn in a multitude of ways.

What’s the best way to include trends in a work wardrobe?

Go with one statement piece per outfit. A great focal point elevates your look – just ensure the rest of it complements that standout item. For example, you could wear a tuxedo wrap jacket as your statement piece and mute it down with cigarette trousers.

What are the main things to know about workwear? I believe that the way we present ourselves has a definite impact on performance. After all, the more confident you feel, the better your output. Embrace your figure with styles and cuts that complement your shape, but don’t show too much skin at work. Wear a blazer over a camisole.

What about having fun with workwear?

Of course! Play around with bold pieces like ruffles, flares, pleats and prints. Deep florals, gingham and tartan prints are key for winter. And what about using colour and creating visual contrast with something strong like fuchsia trousers or a cobalt double-breasted blazer?
