Mind Live in the now
Busy much? These tips will help you enjoy each moment.
Schedule downtime
When making plans, carve out what consultant Sara Harvey Yao calls ‘white space’. Either alone or with family and friends, reserve a block on your calendar with no agenda. “The trick is to not decide how you’re going to use it until it begins,” she explains. “When the time comes, ask yourself, ‘What do I need right now? What am I inspired to do?’”
remember your intent
Racing against the clock can make shopping or organising seem burdensome, says Sara. “Take a quick pause and acknowledge the positive intentions behind all the prep.”
notice the details
“Bring your attention to the colour, texture and flavour of what you’re eating,” Sara says. Taking note of smaller things can help you make more intentional choices – and fully relish your experiences.
