Glamour (South Africa) - - Mailbag - – Anisa Singh, via email

“After two failed attempts at studying and several dead-end jobs, I felt lost and confused about what I wanted to be. The catalyst for change was the death of my beloved grandmother. I decided that I needed to take charge of my life. I recalled the last day of school when my English teacher made me promise that I would write one day, and it dawned on me that writing was my true calling. The article, ‘What anxiety really feels like’ (May ’17), reminded me that I’m in control of my destiny and it’s never too late to make a change. I’m now living my best life. I know I’ll be an inspiration to my daughter some day. Thanks for an inspirational read. You rock!”
