“You can be silly while striving for holiness.”

-

Catholics Caitie Beardmore, 32, and Michaela Glafke, 29, perform as Nun and Nunner to spread the word– and joy. MICHAELA Together we are Nun and Nunner, which is our ‘act’ where we dress up like nuns, sing and tell jokes. People book us for parties and retreats. CAITIE We introduce ourselves as members of a made-up order – lately, we’re the Passionate Missionary Sisters. PMS! We let people know we aren’t really nuns. M The main point of our show is to give people joy. Life can be hard; we all need levity. C When I was in school, it seemed like all the people who taught me about faith were mean. Even today, when people talk about a God who is vindictive, I’m like, “Uh… we ain’t talking about the same guy!” M Frankly, I just have fun playing a role. You can be silly while striving for holiness.
