How to do glitter cuticles

We push them, we snip them, we ignore them. But at the Rodarte show, manicurist Tracylee highlighted cuticles with gold glitter. How to, here!

Tracing your cuticles with gold glitter is “like jewellery for your nails,” says Tracylee of the simple but striking look.

1 Swipe your nails and cuticles with a cotton pad soaked in polish remover to strip your nails of natural oils – it helps the polish adhere better.

2 Paint nails with one coat of an opaque nude polish.

3 Using a thin art brush or dotting tool, draw a single line of gold glitter around the border of the nail, keeping the polish on the skin of the cuticle.

4 Skip the topcoat. “We wanted that mix of textures and didn’t want shiny to compete with shiny.”
