Notorious for his celebritypacked guest lists, crazy venues and legendary New York Fashion Week after parties, it could be argued that Alexander Wang was making more of a name for his events than his clothes.

This year he took a different route and his runway was entirely stripped back to underline that. The collection was presented at an abandoned theatre in Harlem, where models walked elevated black runways. His audience was forced to stand – ensuring they paid attention.
