5 Ways to up your protection game

Cleanse twice a day, every single day Whether you prefer a creamy wipe-off formula or a face wash, cleanse morning and night to tackle dirt and environmen­tal toxins, and then apply a good moisturise­r to keep skin protected and hydrated.

Apply an SPF Winter or summer, this is a key anti-ager, and you probably need more than you’re using – a teaspoon for your face and neck is the rule of thumb. Is there SPF in your foundation? That’s great – but it’s not enough.

Exfoliate regularly Use an exfoliatin­g mask or specially formulated exfoliatin­g cleanser once or twice a week to help keep your skin glowing, remove dead cells and ensure that moisturise­rs and serums absorb well.

Go big on antioxidan­ts Antioxidan­ts protect skin cells from damage and ageing, so get yours in two forms: via a daily serum, and in foods like blueberrie­s, beans and nuts.

Drink plenty of water A glass when you wake up, before meals, after bathroom breaks and before bed will do the trick.
