Work Four ways to stand out. Plus, how to get a stain out of everything

-

Tired of wasting money on expensive stain removal products? We’re here to help make those daily, annoying stains a thing of the past.

We’ve all had moments when we’re clutching our trusty going-out top and yelling, “Out, you troublesome spot!” You’ve tried the classics (sparkling water, lemon juice), but nothing works. To find a better way for you, we’ve got some DIY fixes (they take a few minutes but are totally worth it).

Period blood and other bodily fluids Pour two teaspoons of baking soda into 240ml of water, then add two tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide. Apply to the stain, let sit until the mark fades (reapply as needed), then wash off with cold water.

Coffee, wine and chocolate Make a solution of two parts water, one part vinegar and one part dishwashing liquid. With a clean cloth under the garment to absorb the stain matter, scrub the solution into the mark with a washcloth until it disappears.

Pizza grease and other oils

Mix equal parts dishwashing soap and water, and apply it to the spot, then rinse out. Now kiss that drycleaning bill goodbye.
