Until we meet again!
It’s never nice to say goodbye. But for me the time has come. I’m saying goodbye to Cape Town and the magazine world and returning to Bloemfontein and the radio world. (I remain a camper, though.) My two years and a few months at WegSleep and the last two months at go! Drive & Camp were a privilege and an honour. And it was fun, thank you very much. The magazine is in good hands. At my farewell, my three WegSleep colleagues and good friends Schalk Jonker, Leon Botha and Dominic Wienand made a special go! Drive & Camp cover of us four as The A-Team. And even if I have to say so myself, that’s exactly what we were: an A-team. Schalk, Leon and Dominic are more than just colleagues. They’re friends and guys with whom I’d go to war. Schalk, who is a seasoned journalist and camper, is taking over the reigns. And there are two brilliant motoring journalists joining the team. Cyril Klopper and Kyle Kock are passionate about 4x4s, engines, and highways and byways. With them and freelance designer Owen Willoughby, go! Drive & Camp has an A-team par excellence. And I might see you somewhere on the road or next to a campfire. Go well and safe driving and camping.
