The owners of Caravan Xpress, an Australian caravan dealership, approached Sherpa Leisure to import some of its products to sell Down Under. Sherpa Leisure builds the well-known Tiny and Rambler models, and its vehicles are aimed at campers who prefer smaller fibreglass caravans. Neville de Meillon, Sherpa’s owner, says Caravan Xpress is now the sole distributor of all their products in Australia, and the Sherpa is already turning heads. The local Sherpa is exported as a complete unit, but without power sockets and a freezer. Caravan Xpress then adds its own local freezer and sockets compatible with Australian plugs.
