PA­PRIKA CHICKEN WINGS These chicken wings are braaied first and then slathered in sticky sauce to make it even tastier.

In­gre­di­ents

(enough for 6) 1,5 kg chicken wings 3 ta­ble­spoons dark brown sugar 2 tea­spoons chilli pow­der 2 tea­spoons pa­prika 1 tea­spoon mus­tard pow­der 1 tea­spoons freshly ground black pep­per 1 tea­spoon salt 3 ta­ble­spoons apri­cot jam 2 ta­ble­spoons soya sauce juice of ½ a lemon

Here’s how

1 Dry the wings with pa­per tow­els. Mix to­gether the sugar, chilli pow­der, pa­prika, mus­tard, pep­per and salt. Rub half of the mix­ture over the chicken and put the rest aside. 2 Braai the wings over medium coals for about 15 min­utes (you should be able to keep your hand over the coals for 10 sec­onds). Sprin­kle the rest of the spice mix­ture over the chicken. Turn the wings ev­ery now and again un­til the skin is crisp and golden brown. 3 Mix to­gether the jam, soya sauce and lemon juice in a plate. Dip the wings one by one into the sauce and then braai it for an­other 5 min­utes. Serve right away. go!
