JAGUAR TRAILERS BUILDS ANOTHER LIGHTER CARAVAN

-

Together with its teardrop caravan, Jaguar Trailers has launched another lightweight caravan that you can tow with an ordinary light vehicle driver’s licence: the Zazu-2, and it’s also aimed at couples. It’s notable that more and more caravan builders are focussing on lighter caravans, especially those with a GVM of 750 kg and lighter. (For anything heavier you need an EB driver’s licence.) The double bed in the Zazu folds out of the right-hand panel, and as with most of these size caravans the door is also at the back. The roof lifts off the left panel, close to the foot of the bed, and creates enough space where you climb in through the door. In the current model there are three clothes cupboards with canvas doors at the nose. Going forward there will be only two cupboards and the space of the left cupboard now forms part of the outside kitchen. The kitchen is on the left and pulls out of the front cupboard like a big drawer. There are drawers inside for cutlery and crockery as well as a two-burner gas stove. The fridge/freezer is on the edge of the sliding frame closest to the body. The nosecone is a square box with storage space for wood on top and enough space inside for four ammo boxes. The Zazu’s body is made of a galvanised steel frame with aluminium tread plate outside and a 25 mm insulation layer inside that’s lined with carpet. What is optional? The fridge/ freezer (up to a 85 ℓ model), battery-charging system with LED lights R4 500, 150 W solar panel R3 000, 100 ℓ stainless steel water tank with a tap and a pump R8 500, run-in brakes R5 500 (that pushes the GVM up to 1 600 kg). Price R130 000 Contact 073 333 5554 jacques@jaguartrailers. co.za jaguartrailers.co.za
