SAUSAGE MEATBALLS IN TOMATO SAUCE Boere bolognaise
You can mix pieces of cooked sausages with the sauce and heat it up for a quick meal, but it tastes better if the sausage cooks in the sauce. Ingredients (enough for 4–6) 800 g packet boerewors 500 g spaghetti 15 ml sunflower oil 1 X 375 g bottle passata 2 fresh tomatoes, chopped 1 teaspoon chilli sauce 1 cup grated cheddar cheese salt and pepper, to taste Here’s how 1 Remove the meat from the sausage casing and shape into small meatballs. 2 Cook the spaghetti in a pot of salt water according to instructions on the packet. 3 Pour oil in a pan, pack the meatballs on top and cook until brown. Add the passata and simmer until hot. 4 Serve the meatballs and sauce with the pasta, fresh tomato, chilli sauce and cheese. go!
