Go! Drive & Camp

Come on in

-

The Mobi X is more spacious than you’d expect. You can’t stand upright, but the 100 cm roof height is high enough so you can move around comfortably, even if it is with your knees on the mattress. You first have to pull out the cargo drawer at the back before climbing in because the drawer is in the bed’s space when it’s not pulled out. The firm sponge mattress with three panels is stored upright in the front of the caravan, between the nose and cargo drawer. Between the folded-up mattress and the drawer (closed) there is 43 cm of space that can be used as additional packing space. The mattress basically covers the entire floor when unfolded and there is only 48 cm between the foot of the bed and the drawer. The mattress is longer and slightly wider than a threequarter bed and is pointy at the top so that it fits into the nose. The easiest way to get into the caravan is to sit in the highest side of the door opening and to swing your legs to the right. In the opening there’s a mosquito net that fastens with Velcro and you lock the door on the inside with a clip. Inside on the right (as you climb in) there’s a stretchelastic magazine holder above the mattress and a fold-out cupholder for a water glass or cooldrink can. At the top, almost against the roof, are two small flat cupboards for books, glasses, keys and cellphones, and next to the cupboard is an adjustable LED reading light. At the foot of the bed there are two more small cupboards; the top one has storage space and the bottom one houses the battery charger. On the left is the clothing cupboard’s interior. You can access the cupboard from the inside, meaning you don’t have to walk to the shower tent to get to your clothes. In front of the cupboard is a mosquito net that will keep the pests outside while the door is open. There is also a light and a cupholder similar to the ones on the right as well as a three-prong socket. At the top, to the right of the light, is a round hole at the bottom of the pole cupboard. Your hand fits perfectly inside the hole so you can push poles that are too deep to the outside. There are two more cupboards at the bottom of the bed, but the plumbing for the water and gas runs through it, which means packing space is limited. Underneath the cupboard is a three-point socket for the fridge. There is a roof light in the middle of the roof. The electricity box is to the right at the top, at the door, and the circuit breakers and switches for the roof light, water tank and fridge are also located here. There is also a USB socket, 12 V cigarette lighter, Volt meter, as well as a level monitor for the water tank. >
