The technical stuff

-

Nose weight 65 kg (supplied) Length (A-frame included) 3,7 m Width 1,65 m Height 1,9 m Net weight (basic caravan) 760 kg Payload 740 kg GVM 1 500 kg Price R198 000 as tested, fully kitted out. The basic caravan with the pull-out drawer costs R148 000. There are several tent options.

Plus

The build quality and interior and exterior finishes are excellent. The kitchen is big and well equipped. The jockey wheel that moves out of the way to next to the A-frame is a good idea, especially if you’re tackling rough terrain. The caravan is light and you can easily tow it with a vehicle with a smaller engine capacity. The side flaps have loops at the bottom that fit a pole to make rolling up easier.

Minus

It’s uncomfortable getting dressed inside the caravan. The fridge drawer doesn’t pull out and narrow space makes it difficult to take anything out. The clothing cupboard’s shelves are narrow and there isn’t a lot of packing space. There isn’t a canvas cover over the rear cargo drawer; you get wet when you take something out of the ammo boxes or fridge. The lights above the kitchen and clothing cupboard shines only on the work surfaces and not inside the cupboards.

go! Drive & Camp says The caravan has black 16” alloy wheels with 265 x 70 x 16” tyres.
