Fishing is good fun, but it does have one drawback: A fishing rod is long, and makes packing a caravan difficult. While it doesn’t take up much space, it is fragile – especially the tip – and it’s easily damaged. Ironman 4x4 has just the answer, with their Travel Master Multi-Rod set. This set comes in its own case and folds up so small, you can carry it with you anywhere you go. The multi-rod is made out of solid carbon fibre and consists of various pieces that fit into each other. You can make no fewer than 36 different combinations with all the pieces. The set has six loose pieces to make rods of different lengths and three tips with differing flexibility, as well as two types of handles. You can make a 12’ rod if you want to catch a cob from the beach, the 10’ combination with the stiffer tip is just the thing for carp, and the lighter tip is perfect for bream. Make the rod 2’ shorter if you’re fishing from the jetty or even shorter, to 4’, if you’re casting close to branches. The rod is at its shortest on the 3’ configuration, and great if you want to take a rod with you to cast from your kayak. The case the set comes in is 50 cm long and 9 cm in diameter.
