Botswana, Okavango Delta, Caprivi, Chobe and Vic Falls
Never been to Botswana? This camping trip makes things easy for you. Upon arrival at your camp, your tent is already pitched. Hungry? A bush chef prepares your meals!
Explore Botswana’s Okavango Delta, the great rivers of the Zambezi Region (the old Caprivi Strip), and mighty Victoria Falls, while our experts make sure you’re safe, well fed and comfortable at all times. This self-drive tour is one of the most popular on the Bhejane itinerary, for good reason: It allows you to have a true African adventure at a reasonable price, and you don’t need any technical off-road driving skills. Travel from the vast Makgadikgadi Pans around the Okavango Delta and up the Panhandle, pausing at the mysterious Tsodilo Hills, which is a worldrenowned rock art site. You’ll travel east through the Caprivi in Namibia, and back to Kasane in Botswana via the ever-impressive Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The tour ends with a cruise on the Chobe River, where you can toast the sunset while elephants splash in the shallows. Bhejane will provide all tents and camping equipment, and their staff members will set up and strike camp. Experts will be on hand to guide you through sections of technical driving, and they’ll be carrying all the necessary recovery gear should you get stuck. A highlight of any Bhejane trip is the food, and this one is no exception: Our experienced bush chef will prepare three delicious meals a day in his camp kitchen. The coffee pot will be on the fire until late. All the campsites visited, other than the wild camp on Kubu Island, will have hot showers and flush toilets.
