Set to wow in India pageant
A FORMER Ebenezer Majombozi High School pupil Zintle Zincume, will be representing South Africa in the Miss Magnificent Iron (MWI) pageant in Mumbai in India later this year.
Zincume, who completed her schooling in Duncan Village, was born in Mthatha.
“I entered Miss Ribbons Four Roses in October 2016 in Cape Town, and was crowned as the first princess, which gave me the opportunity of being a representative and delegate to Miss MWI Southern African Queen 2018,” she said.
Zincume obtained her diploma in radiography from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), majoring in Diagnostics. “I did community service at Frere Hospital and completed a Peer Educator Course through the New Hope Fellowship Church.
“I then became a peer educator at the HIV/Aids centre CPUT,” Zincume said.
“My passion for working with the community grew when I became a peer educator.”
Magnificent Women Icon is an international pageant managed locally by non-profit organisation founder, Ampie Fourie. It is independently owned and operated by Michigan Pageants.
Delegates from South Africa are set to compete in Mumbai, India, late in February.
Zincume also coordinated a school pageant at her former school, to help motivate pupils to reach their full potential.
