A RACE FOR THE LADIES -

Record number expected in ladies race

-

THE run all East London women look forward to – the Kempston Ladies Nite Race – is just around the corner.

The race has been a community favourite for the past 14 years, and continues to grow. Together the Kempston Group and Oxford Striders Running Club have created a dynamic ladies race, where only women can take on the 10km event.

A river of pink filled the streets last year with more than 3 500 runners taking part in the Kempston Ladies Nite Race wearing their limited-edition shirts with style.

This year each runner will once again receive a stunning collector’s race shirt. Keep an eye on www.facebook.com/kempstonevents for exciting competitions and to stand a chance to win a free entry into the race, along with an awesome goodie bag.

The 5km fun run event encourages husbands, brothers and boyfriends to dress up in “drag” and simply enjoy being a lady for 5km.

There are loads of prizes to be won, including the “best-dressed drag” entrant of the evening.

A cash bar will be available at the finish at Oxford Striders, for those looking to extend the festivities after the running event.

The Kempston Ladies Nite Race will kick off at 5pm on Saturday evening, March 3.

The Kempston Group is expecting a record number of participants for the 15th annual ladies event. Register for the Kempston Ladies Nite Race via

www.myactive.co.za or download your entry form at www.kempston.co.za/events/.

Alternatively, entry forms are available at Oxford Striders, Total Sports and Sportsman’s Warehouse.
