Ultimate Performer hunt is on
REGISTRATION to the PNA Ultimate Performer was held at the PNA corner in East London last Saturday.
It was an exciting Saturday of music, excitement and anticipation. Contestants who had not entered were able to come to the premises and complete online entries and find out more about the event. Other contestants attended the registration to hand in their music and check their entry details. There was certainly a sense of excitement – and anticipation – as they spoke among themselves about their planned performances for the preliminary rounds this weekend at Vincent Park. Those in attendance, enjoyed the music and there was a celebratory atmosphere, with the highlight being the performance of Daniel Anderson and the appearances of PNA Penny. Many contestants and visitors spent some time in the photo booth taking lovely photographs – all keen to enter the amazing selfie competition on The Pagegroup Facebook page where the most likes by March 24 at noon will win an iPhone 8 valued at an amount of R14 000 sponsored by PNA Stationers.
The new PNA corner had a stretch tent, tables for registration, music and tables and chairs where many attendees enjoyed the Wakaberry they had purchased using the voucher they had received at registration. Competitors were given a stunning PNA drawstring bag containing their PNA Ultimate Performer shirt as well as a copy of the Go! and Express, a PNA Stationers Ruler and a Wakaberry and PNA stationers voucher. Crew and staff were fed by Steers Nahoon and an enjoyable time was had by all. We certainly are experiencing an increase in the number of entrants and the registration was the largest in the eight-year history of the event. Amazing performances can be expected at the preliminary rounds at Vincent Park on Saturday and Sunday. Performances will take place at the dome area at Vincent Park on Saturday from 9am to 3pm and on Sunday from 10am to 2pm. Any interested performers are still able to enter and compete on the weekend and entries close on March 18 at 2pm. On Friday two of our adjudicators - Nerina Le Roux and Gussie Eberhardt from The Pagegroup will be adjudicating competitors at Parkland school for our new disabled category.
