Join Colour Fun Run for good cause

- SIVENATHI GOSA

MDANTSANE non-profit organisation Project Khulisanani will have their second run, 7km Ezase Kasi Colour Fun Run, on Saturday starting at Ekoneni Butchery, N.U 1 in Mdantsane at 7am.

The entry fee is R10 for children and R30 for adults.

The co-founder of the organisation, Bohlale Buzani, said this year's run will be different.

“In November we did a fun walk and run, which was two and five kilometres. This year we have combined the distances, but this time it will be running only. The fun part is that while people are running, they will be splashed with water and colourful powder,” Buzani said.

Buzani said the proceeds that they received from last year's run went to the Back to School Campaign.

“We managed to make R600, and we put it into the Back to School Campaign.”

The GO reported (“Putting back pride in pupils’ step February 22) that the organisation handed over more than 200 pairs of school shoes to pupils.

“This year's proceeds will go to a programme that we will launch soon that will benefit the youth of the community.

“We will have a learning centre at Bulumko Junior Primary School where pupils will get a meal and help with their homework after school.

“We will also teach them some board games and sport activities<” Buzani said.
