What services or products do you offer?
We sell high-quality gold and silver-plated jewellery.
When did your business start?
The business started to operate about three weeks ago.
How did the idea come about?
The idea came about due to the rising cost of jewellery, while men and women still wanted and deserved to look beautiful. We saw a gap in the market for more affordable and costeffective jewellery pieces, to accommodate customers who want to buy, but cannot afford expensive, high-priced items.
Where do you get your jewellery from?
We get our stock from a supplier in KZN who has been in business for a long time.
How many staff do you work with?
We only employ two people at this stage.
What satisfaction do you get
out of the work that you do?
The expression and joy from our customers’ eyes, when they make a purchase or the excitement while they are choosing their favourite piece.
Who your jewelry pieces are mainly targeted towards?
Our pieces are not really targeted at a specific target audience, but rather at anyone who wants to look and feel beautiful.
What goals you are working towards in your business?
At the moment, we want to market the business as much as we can, build and grow the brand.
What advice do you have for anyone interested in starting their own business?
The advice I would give is that people should know that it is not an easy task. It is daunting. You do not make money overnight. It is hard work. It takes sacrifice, determination, patience and perseverance. You need to invest and reinvest not only money, but also your time and energy.
