● March 2, the Gonubie Lions Club charity craft market in aid

of Spay A Stray will be held at King’s Mall from 9am-1pm, where delicious home-baked eats, interestin­g homemade items that will make lovely gifts and beautiful adult and children’s clothing items will be available. All items are made by local residents and reasonably priced.

● March 2 is the Link FM family market day at Baysville School from 9am-3pm and entrance is at R10 for adults and R5 for children. There will be a Link FM live broadcast, craft and food stalls, jumping castles, face painting, balloon, animals for children and car display. Contact: 072-942-9270.

● March 2 at the Summerprid­e Showground­s starting from 1pm is the Border Stockcars racing round one.

● March 2 is Montywood Film Awards at the Guild Theatre starting from 5pm. Tickets are R150 from Computicke­t and R200 at the door. This the first annual film awards. The aim is to reward the filmmakers for their contributi­ons in the local film industry.
