I am a typical accountant who weighs up everything from beginning to end before making a decision, and at Permacultu­re South Africa we’ve trained a wide range of people, from a brain surgeon to a commercial apple farmer. I’ve never regretted the switch from accounting to working with the soil. There are many problems in the world, but by practising permacultu­re we can change things one step at a time.”
