Owner of Thyme Square Coffee & Gift Shop It’s Carla herself who makes sure that everything runs smoothly at this popular coffee shop. She bakes 90% of the cakes and doesn’t blink when you order a strong cappuccino. “Since the park was declared a World Heritage Site, our visitor profile has changed a lot: before they were mostly South Africans, but these days most visitors – I’d say 65-70% – are foreigners. What I like most is that everything here is just 5 minutes away: work, home, the hairdresser, shops, massage therapy, good restaurants. I know everyone and everyone knows me. Wonderful people live here.”
