Richard heads up the local branch of Smhart Security. He moved here four years ago from Kempton Park and assists people in Oyster Bay and other towns in the district. “Although the farmers battle with stock theft,” he says, “we only have occasional incidences of petty crime in town. In December, many holiday-makers set off their house alarms by mistake, but otherwise it’s nice and peaceful.”
