PREPARE THE COCO PEAT

-

Place it in a bucket and pour 3ℓ of water over – it will swell to about 9ℓ of growing medium, enough for our planter of 30cm x 30cm x 10cm. Wait a while for the water to start being absorbed, then slowly break off pieces to allow the water to absorb even faster. Let it stand for a while and stir it with your hands so that the last hard pieces break up. Coco Peat – a sustainable, environmentally friendly byproduct of processed coconuts – is siginficantly lighter than potting soil, retains water better and for longer, and promotes healthy root growth.
