How to get there?
The CapeNature office at Ouplaas is about 7 km from Fontein Guest Farm.
Entrance is free with a Wild card, otherwise it’s R40 per adult and R20 per child aged 3 – 12.
Things to do:
• Cycle. Bring your mountain bike or hire one from the reception office (R50 for a full day; R30 for half a day). • Fish. Plant your fishing rod next to the Gamka River. Bring your fishing permit or buy one at the office (R40 per person). • Hike. There are two great trails: Grootkloof (6,3 km; starts near the campsite; buy a guide for R15 at the reception office) and Koningsgat (1,4 km; starts near the Bush Shelter). Once you’re done walking, have a dip in the Gamka River. • Watch birds. More than 150 bird species have been recorded in the kloof – even fish-eagles! Bring your binos and your bird guide.
Where to stay?

The ablution blocks have hot water. Bring your own firewood.
