Fish River Canyon: the latest

I hiked the Fish River Canyon in May last year. What I enjoy about the trail is that you don’t have a set destination that you have to reach each day – you just hike until you find a good spot to camp. The campsite at Hobas near the start of the trail has been renovated – there’s now a restaurant and a swimming pool. Ai-Ais, the end point, is also busy being spruced up. (During our visit it looked like a construction site, but it should be great in time.) We used a shuttle from Ai-Ais to get to Hobas at the start, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
