A string of satellites

My wife Antoinette and I recently stayed at one of the Eagle’s Nest chalets at Klein-Aus Vista in southern Namibia. I set up my camera to take photos of the Milky Way around 8 pm one evening and when I looked up, I saw a satellite. I called my wife over and we realised there wasn’t only one – there were three in a row. I left my camera shutter open for 30 seconds and took this photo.

We ended up seeing eight satellites moving in the same orbit that night, also the same distance apart.
