PUBLIC NOTICE CALLING FOR INSPECTION OF SUPPLEMENTARY
VALUATION ROLL AND LODGING OF OBJECTIONS
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(i) of the Local Government Municipal Property Rates Act 6 of 2004 (hereinafter referred to as the “Act”) that the 2016/2017 & 2017/2018 Supplementary Property Valuation Roll is open for public inspection at the Municipal venues listed below, from 17 July 2017 to 16 August 2017, Mondays to Fridays during working hours.
An invitation is hereby made in terms of Section 49 (1)(a)(ii) of the Act that any owner of property or other person who so desires, should lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter, including the category of the property, reflected in, or omitted from, the Valuation Roll within the abovementioned period.
Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of Section 50(2) of the Act an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the Valuation Roll as such. Completed forms must be returned to the under mentioned offices or the Municipal Manager, P O Box 71, Graaff-reinet 6280 on or before 16 August 2017.
