Notice is given in terms of Regulations published in Government Notice No R.324, 325, 326, and 327, according to Chapter 5 of the National Environmental Management Act (Act 107 of 1998) of the application for an EIA Basic Assessment Authorisation, which will be submitted to Eastern Cape Province’s Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs & Tourism for the purpose of:
• Proposed change of landuse to Institutional I and II for hospital, Residential II and IV, Consent for Retirement Purposes, and associated Infrastructure:
GN 327 Listing 1, Activity 12 The development of (vi) bulk stormwater outlet structures exceeding 100 sqm in size, (x) buildings exceeding 100 sqm in size, and (xii) infrastructure or structures with a physical footprint of 100 sqm or more (c) within 32m from a watercourse.
GN 327 Listing 1, Activity 27 The clearance of an area of 1 hectare or more, but less than 20 hectares, of indigenous vegetation.
GN 327 Listing 1, Activity 28 Mixed developments where such land was used for agriculture on or after 01 April 1998 and where such\ development (i) will occur inside an urban area, where the total land to be developed is bigger than 5 ha.

GRAAFFREINET — Die Ng-gemeente in Graaff-reinet het onlangs 'n kuns-kompetisie geloods waaraan jonk sowel as oud kan deelneem.
Die kompetisie vereis dat diegene wat belangstel om deel te neem 'n kunswerk van een van die twee Ng-kerkgeboue in Graaff-reinet moet skep en indien. Deelnemers kan van enige artistiese tegniek gebruik maak om hul kunswerk te skep.
Kategorieë bestaan uit een vir Graad R tot Graad 3-leerlinge, een vir Graad 4 tot 7-leerders, 'n kategorie vir hoërskool-leerders en dan 'n ope-afdeling. Daar is dan ook 'n kompetisie vir foto's van die kerkgeboue. Die koste om in te skryf beloop R10. Inskrywingsvorms is by die kerkkantoor beskikbaar.
Die wenner sal op 5 November aangekondig word.
