Swimmers improve

A swimming workshop - organised by the newly established Graaff-reinet Swimming Club - was held in Hoër Volkskool’s swimming pool this past weekend. The workshop - presented by one of South Africa’s top coaches, Dave Glover - was well attended by swimmers wanting to develop and improve their confidence and skill in the water. On Saturday, November 4, the Graaff-reinet Golf Club hosted their monthly Medal competition, sponsored by Pick n Pay. The winner in the A-section was Hadley Fourie (pictured), while Weppie Weideman won the B-section and Yvonne Drummond the C-section. The weekly Wednesday IPS competition, sponsored by the Desert Springs Spur, was won by Stefan Venter with 38 points, while Colin Warner won the Friday Sundowner. This Saturday, November 11, will see golfers battling it out in a Bonus Bogey Competition tee-off at 12:30.
