The battlefield of the mind

-

Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep the mind that is dependent on You in perfect peace, for it is trusting in You.”

The mind is the faculty of a human being’s reasoning and thoughts, processing feelings and emotions, resulting in attitudes and actions. The mind is a powerful tool! Hence, it is often a place of serious warfare. It is of course, the place that the Devil attacks with so many deceiving lies. And at the heart of it, the enemy wants the Children of God to doubt God’s character, as in the garden, in Genesis, “Did God really say you shouldn’t eat from any tree in the garden?” He has convinced so many that God does not love them (which is not true). And, sadly, he has also convinced many that ending their lives is the only solution to their problems.

He causes many believers to doubt their salvation. If the enemy can get us not to depend and trust in the Lord, then he has achieved his goal. The mind that is not dependent on God, that does not trust in Him, is a mind that is restless and causes great anxiety. In light of all the difficulties and hardships that we experience, we need to keep our minds fixed on God because the mind that is trusting in Him is kept in perfect peace by God.

May we allow God to transform us by renewing our minds with the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. Children of God, may the peace of God that surpasses all understanding guard our hearts and minds in Christ, as we lay all the things that cause us great anxiety at the feet of Jesus.
