Medals for local boxers

Grahamstown boxers who took part in the recent provincial championships in Quzeni Village near King Williams Town. Sarah Baartman district boxers claimed 3rd spot overall, behind Buffalo City and Nelson Mandela.

The provincial champs were well represented by Mfuzo Boxing Camp members, who formed part of the Sarah Baartman side. Mfuzo mem- bers who received medals included: Nomakholwa Bosch (gold, 30kg), Yonda Yoli (gold, 60kg), Aphiwe Mnyobe (gold, 80kg), Nkosinathi Sidumo (silver, 37.5kg), Bandiswa Gotyana (silver, 52kg), Siyanda Ndamase (bronze, 30kg), Aphiwe Nyhawe (bronze 36kg), Chuma A Kondile (bronze).

Ayabonga Magume of Masibambane boxing club collected a silver medal.
