Thanks for winning spirit that made tournament

-

I would like to thank and congratulate the organisers, local officials and stakeholders in making sure that the New Year’s Cup Competition was a success.

All that would not have been possible had it not been for long hours of hard work put in by you in preparations for the competition. You performed your duties diligently. I am very sure that the seed you planted will be taken care of and watered by the Grahamstown community, Makana LFA and the football lovers.

My sincere gratitude goes to all those who sacrificed their time (especially since it was during festive season) and put a lot of effort into making sure that the competition was a success.

A big thank you also goes to the sponsors of the tournament for the support they gave.

To the Makana LFA, let us continue to raise the standard of our league and commit ourselves to serving the league for the good of our Association. We must ensure that we retain what is left by the New Year’s Cup Competition, as it helped (I believe) in improving the way to run competitions.

I would like to offer my hearty congratulations to MARU for winning the New Year’s Cup.

You shone at the top among all. With your positive attitude and dedication towards and throughout the tournament, you reached new heights. With your relentless efforts and hard work, you have achieved a great success.

I believe the Grahamstown community, especially football lovers, are so happy for your achievement. Success comes to those who keep on keeping on.

Thank you for the winning spirit that earned you the success. Well done!

Now is the time to motivate and inspire young players in order to develop local (Grahamstown) football. Let us all face the challenges that we have in Makana LFA with a positive mind. Let us not lose confidence and always look ahead of our path and keep the spirit up always.
